About

Classical Music

The history of Indian classical music can be traced back over 3,000 years to the Vedic hymns of ancient India. The hymns, which were sung in praise of the gods and goddesses, laid the foundation for the development of classical music in India.

The earliest treatise on Indian classical music is the Natyashastra, written by the ancient Indian musician and theoretician Bharata Muni, dating back to around the 2nd century BCE. This treatise laid the foundation for the two main streams of Indian classical music: the Hindustani music of North India and the Carnatic music of South India.

Art & Craft

Art and craft are two interconnected forms of human expression that have been a part of human history for thousands of years. Art refers to the visual and performing arts, such as painting, sculpture, photography, dance, and theater, while craft refers to the creation of functional or decorative objects through the use of a variety of materials and techniques. Art is often considered as an expression of emotions, ideas and imagination. It is often created for aesthetic or intellectual reasons and can be appreciated for its beauty, form, or meaning.
